It's annoying as heck to have that upgrade happen, but my suggestion is for you to look on youtube and study up on the new features in LP X. Get your money's worth by using it a while. Later, when you do upgrade, it'll still be a good deal. I have plug-in libraries that cost more to upgrade than LP X. I purchase the old version, and they release a new version right after I purchase the old one.
And there is zero ability to upgrade from the old to new without paying full price, which is a total disappointment and if you ask me a major flaw in customer support from apple. Pro tools does offer upgrade pricing, as far as I know. I will likely no longer purchase Logic in the future due to this treatment of it's customer base. Jul 31, AM.
